  • Shifts Mon-Fri: 8 hours, 5 days: 6am-2pm, 5 days: 10pm-6am (nights -shifts start Sunday) 5 days: 2pm-10pm and the rotation starts again

Due to continued expansion, we have a fantastic opportunity to join our Petcare brand at Castle Cary as a Packing Operator.

Job purpose

Efficiently run packing machines in the factory to meet the production plan. The packing operator will also play a pivotal role in identifying and delivering continuous improvement projects within the packing hall.

What are we looking for?

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to work collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Ability to accurately update data via computerised systems
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Driver's license is essential
  • Experience in a factory environment desirable


What would be your key responsibilities?

  • Maintain excellent packaging line efficiency in line with the set plan and raise any identified issues
  • Support peers in achieving highest Safety, Quality and Efficiency standards throughout the packing hall
  • Ensure cleaning regimes are upheld and fulfilled to the highest standard
  • Actively participate in operational processes that support the improvement of our business performance

*Duties of this role include:*

* Lead the theatre team in delivering outstanding patient care across all perioperative stages, including anaesthetics, surgery, and recovery.
* Foster a culture of compassion and respect through effective team engagement, communication, and support.
* Ensure patient safety is prioritised at all times, acting as an advocate and speaking up on any concerns regarding care or safeguarding.
* Ensure efficient delivery of theatre services through effective resource planning, scheduling, and coordination.
* Attract, develop, and retain a high-performing multidisciplinary theatre team.
* Support regulatory compliance by ensuring the theatre department meets all statutory and Circle Health Group standards.

*Applicants should meet the following criteria:*

* NMC or HCPC registered practitioner with perioperative leadership experience.
* Strong background in anaesthetics, scrub, or recovery within theatre settings.
* Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to influence, coach, and develop others.
* Strong organisational and planning skills with knowledge of labour management and workforce efficiency tools.
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and clinical decision-making abilities.
