Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of our wonderful SEN schools. As an Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant you will be working closely with the children to provide social, emotional, and physical support.

Hours: 9am till 3:30pm - Monday to Friday

Job Title:         Lead Clinician - Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist

Location:         Skylarks School – Surrey, KT18 7LR

Salary:             £50,000 - £60,000, FTE (DOE)

Hours:     37.5 hours per week 8.30am-4.30pm 

Contract:   Permanent, Term Time only, (There may be scope for this to be a permanent contract (52 weeks), if this is your preference please get in touch 

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Clinician to manage our in-house Clinical Team at Skylarks School based in Surrey. The postholder will work collaboratively with both the school’s Senior Leadership team and the Clinical Locality Lead. The role will be split between clinically leading the team and holding a therapy caseload. Working collaboratively with the site, you will deliver bespoke assessment, and intervention plans for our pupils who may present with complex profiles of need as a result of autism and other types of neurodivergence, developmental trauma and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. You will also be responsible for coordinating the line management of the members of the onsite clinical team.

You will be responsible for holding the therapy caseload with the full support of our well-established and knowledgeable clinical network and growing Clinical Team, you will also contribute to staff training and consultation. Both a challenging and rewarding role, this position would suit a resilient and enthusiastic individual, with a therapeutic approach and the ability to make decisions, as well as manage their own workload and supervise others. Job Title:         Lead Clinician - Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Clinician - Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to lead our in-house Clinical Team at Woodside Park school.  The successful candidate will also provide some SaLT support and advice at Baston House School in Bromley (20 mins away) The postholder will be part of the School Leadership Team (SLT) and work collaboratively with both the SLT and the Regional Clinical Lead to plan and prioritise work in line with EHCPs of our students. 

Working collaboratively with SLT, you will aim to embed clinical thinking wherever possible through work at the 'all' and 'group' level alongside our education colleagues.  You will also support reflective practice, clinical consultations, supervision, assessment, planning, monitoring and delivery of bespoke programmes of SaLT support. You will oversee and monitor EHCP outcomes for all students with named clinical provision, including those with complex profiles of need as a result of autism and other types of neurodivergence, developmental trauma and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. You will be responsible for holding a SaLT caseload and supporting the line management of cross site multi-disciplinary clinical team.

Our Clinical Teams support schools to maintain a nurturing environment where our pupils can flourish, always putting them at the forefront of everything they do.  All our settings maintain a strong safeguarding culture, and our pupils are heard, respected and involved in decisions that affect them wherever possible.
