Job Title:      Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

Salary:       Up to £53,200 pro rata (dependent on experience

*Please note- basic grade SALT offers from £3,000+, Specialist from 9,500+ & Highly specialist from 8,000+* 

Hours:        37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, hours to overlap with core school hours  (Part time hours may be considered)

The role:   

We are looking for a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our in-house clinical team at Red Moor School 

Working collaboratively with the education team, you will deliver bespoke Speech and Language Therapy assessment and intervention to pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neurodivergent or have SEMH needs. You will work within the standards provided in the OFG Speech and Language Therapy Ways of Working. This will guide your practice within an education setting and clarify your roles and responsibilities, while taking into account the requirements of your governing and professional bodies. You will be given responsibility for holding a Speech and Language therapy caseload, with the full support of your designated clinical supervisor and site lead, also contributing to staff training and consultation as required This post would suit a resilient, creative and enthusiastic individual.

  • Recognised Speech & Language Therapy degree 
  • Valid and up to date HCPC Registration 
  • Registered member of RCSLT 
  • At least 5 + yrs practicing experience working at the specialist level with this client group in a similar setting
  • Highly developed specialist knowledge and clinical understanding underpinned by theory and practical experience
  • Experienced in multi-disciplinary working across a range of settings, with some responsibility for service & team performance 
  • Highly experienced in communicating with and working with families/relatives and carers 
  • Highly experienced in developing training and in person presentations 
  • Highly experienced in providing professional and clinical supervision 
  • Highly experienced in taking part in research projects and conducting audits
  • Skills Essential Desirable Exceptional relationship building, analytical and judgmental skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills (oral and written)
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Advanced knowledge and highly experienced in the core areas of SaLT practice and clear understanding of RCSLT Communication Standards

We are looking for a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our in-house clinical team at Red Moor School 

Working collaboratively with the education team, you will deliver bespoke Speech and Language Therapy assessment and intervention to pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neurodivergent or have SEMH needs. You will work within the standards provided in the OFG Speech and Language Therapy Ways of Working. This will guide your practice within an education setting and clarify your roles and responsibilities, while taking into account the requirements of your governing and professional bodies. What You’ll Be Doing:  

  • Performing adult echocardiography investigations in accordance with British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) guidelines  

  • Delivering high-quality, autonomous echocardiography services to BSE Level 2 standards using the latest technology and reporting systems  

  • Assessing patients’ health and wellbeing across a complex and varied caseload  

  • Producing clear, concise reports for each scan to support timely and effective clinical decisions  

  • Applying advanced diagnostic technologies for measurement, monitoring, and treatment

Are you a passionate and experienced ECHO Cardiographer seeking to work with some of the best consultants in the region? Duchy Hospital in Truro, part of Ramsay Health Care UK, is looking for a BSE Accredited ECHO Cardiographer to join our dedicated cardiac diagnostics team.

You will work closely with our highly skilled team of cardiac physiologists, consultants, and nursing staff, all committed to providing exceptional patient care.  

What You’ll Be Doing:  

  • Performing adult echocardiography investigations in accordance with British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) guidelines  

  • Delivering high-quality, autonomous echocardiography services to BSE Level 2 standards using the latest technology and reporting systems  

  • Assessing patients’ health and wellbeing across a complex and varied caseload  

  • Producing clear, concise reports for each scan to support timely and effective clinical decisions  

  • Applying advanced diagnostic technologies for measurement, monitoring, and treatment  

  • Contributing to continuous service improvement and maintaining exceptional clinical standards  

  • Working collaboratively with consultants, cardiac physiologists, and nursing teams to ensure seamless patient care  

What We’re Looking For:  

  • BSc in Clinical Physiology (or equivalent qualification)  

  • Full BSE Accreditation (completion and active registration)  

  • Proven post-qualification experience in adult echocardiography  

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centred approach  

  • Ability to work autonomously while also contributing effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team  

  • A commitment to professional development and service excellence
