**Overview of the Department/Section**
Within GCIB (Global Corporate & Investment Banking), ESFO (European Structured Finance Office) offers comprehensive advisory and debt arrangement for the non-recourse and limited recourse financing of long-term, capital intensive projects. Our specialist teams focus on a range of sectors, including power & renewables, infrastructure, natural resources and housing finance.
Within ESFO:
+ the Financial Advisory team (" **GCIB Financial Advisory** ") spans all sectors and aims to structure the most competitive and deliverable funding solution for our client base, evaluating all available funding sources in the market. These funding sources include commercial or multilateral banks, ECAs, institutional investors, private placements or public bond finance or a combination thereof. The team also provides credit ratings advisory services.
+ The Energy and Infrastructure teams have responsibility for the delivery and execution of the financing product in their respective sectors.
The JCIB (Japanese Corporate Investment Banking) Financial Advisory team will operate alongside the existing GCIB Financial Advisory team, with the same geographical and sector remit, delivering the advisory product specifically to projects where clients covered by JCIB have a controlling interest.
On projects jointly participated by clients covered by JCIB and GCIB, JCIB Financial Advisory and GCIB Financial Advisory teams will share responsibility.
**Main Purpose of the Role**
Playing a key role in further developing, growing and sustaining a market leading financial advisory business services across the Energy and Infrastructure sectors.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Bank**
+ To lead, and/or provide significant support in most aspects of the execution of advisory mandates, and contribute to advisory mandates, including: negotiation of the mandate letter, development of information memoranda, financial structuring and analysis, negotiations with funders, managing financial aspects of the due diligence process, development of key documentation and managing the overall funding process through to financial close.
+ Managing and developing client relationships with key clients and other related parties including lawyers, procuring authorities, banks and other financial institutions.
+ Managing and developing relationships with key internal stakeholders (including EBD, SFCO, MUS and SFD).
+ Assisting in devising, refining and implementing the financial advisory strategy.
+ Work with other MUFG teams to enhance the MUFG offering and client services.
+ Ratings Advisory support.
+ To play an active role in business development, with a view to growing the advisory pipeline, including: proactively identifying potential advisory opportunities, preparation and presentation of advisory proposals and materials and ongoing ad hoc client marketing.
+ Take an active role in the preparation of and participation in all assessments and authorisation activities including assisting in the presentation of the transaction through the various internal approval processes (including: BCRA, Business Screening and KYC).
+ Propose appropriate solutions to meet client needs in conjunction, where necessary, with other specialist functions of MUFG in order to deliver a tailored solution to client needs.
+ Ensure that business development, structuring and execution is market-leading, sound and appropriate.
+ Coordinating with international structured finance teams.
+ Prepare and present internal committee presentations/papers.
+ In general the role could require substantial overseas travel.
**Securities**
Through collaboration with MUS employees, facilitate the marketing and origination of transactions with your area of specialism in respect to the MUS product suite. The non-functional nature of this role means that you will not be able to transact (which means lead any structuring, credit, execution or commitment discussions) on behalf of any MUS legal entity; though through your role in Project Finance you will be able to share data and information, attend both internal and external meetings, offering up views and opinions. All recommendations and final decisions around structure, credit, pricing, execution and commitment must be made by a MUS employee or a functional dual-hat employee **.**
**Work Experience**
+ Experience from a structured finance advisory/product role preferred.
+ Experience gained from within a project finance bank, boutique or DCM team preferred.
+ Previous experience working in structured finance essential, some M&A and rating experience beneficial.
+ Pan EMEA experience of different financing documentation beneficial.
**Skills and Experience**
Functional / Technical Competencies:
+ Structured Finance understanding a requirement.
+ Ability to lead on all aspects as part of a wider advisory mandate with senior support on more complex aspects.
+ Familiar with different types of financing documentation e.g. CTAs.

I’m currently working with a highly regarded accountancy firm (within the top 10!) in the UK who are looking to recruit a talented and driven Tax Advisory Manager (or experienced Assistant Manager ready to step up) to join their Corporate Tax Advisory team in Burnley.

Role:
  
You’ll work closely with Partners, Directors, and the Head of Tax across a portfolio of corporate clients, advising on a wide range of complex matters while playing a key role in the growth and development of the team.
  
You will also be expected to:
 
  • Supporting and leading the delivery of tax advisory services to a diverse corporate client base
  • Building strong relationships with your own portfolio of clients, including attending regular meetings
  • Working closely with the regional Head of Tax, Partners and Directors on key assignments
  • Managing and coaching junior team members, including performance appraisals and mentoring
  • Helping to identify and deliver new advisory opportunities and innovative tax solutions
  • Conducting detailed technical research on complex areas of corporate tax legislation
  • Managing a variety of complex tax projects with a clear focus on risk management and delivery
  • Playing an active part in the continuous improvement and upskilling of the tax team
  
Requirements:

You will also be expected to have:
  
  • Proven experience in a practice-based tax role (compliance, advisory or a mix of both)
  • A strong technical knowledge of corporate tax and the ability to conduct in-depth research
  • A confident, client-facing manner with the ability to explain complex tax matters clearly
  • Leadership qualities – ideally with experience coaching or managing others
  • The desire to work as part of a team, contribute your voice, and help others succeed
  • A commercial mindset and proactive approach to identifying opportunities
  • Professional qualifications such as CTA/ACA/ACCA would be advantageous, though not essential for the right candidate with relevant experience.

SEN Advisory Tutor (15 Hours per Week - 1:1 Role in Westminster)
Pay: 65-85 per hour QTS is essential
Location: Westminster (in-person)

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced SEN Advisory Tutor to support a 7-year-old neurodivergent boy on a 1:1 basis in Westminster for 15 hours per week . This is a highly rewarding, in-person role that involves both home-based and community-based learning.

The SEN Advisory Tutor will be responsible for designing and delivering a neuro-affirming , play-based , and child-led curriculum , supporting the learner's academic, emotional, and social development. A strong understanding of mastery scales, P scales, the EYFS framework, and the National Curriculum is essential, as is the ability to adapt curriculum content in line with the child's interests and needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1:1 sessions in Westminster , including home and local community settings

  • Accompany the learner to community-based activities that support learning and social development

  • Write and adapt curriculum materials to be play-based and developmentally appropriate

  • Write and develop reports in terms of progress
  • Work collaboratively with a wider team, including SLTs, OTs, and SALTs , ensuring a joined-up, child-centred approach

Essential Skills:

  • Proven experience as a SEN Advisory Tutor or similar SEN role (QTS)

  • Training or strong working knowledge of:

    • PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance)

    • GLP (Gestalt Language Processing)

    • Low Arousal Techniques

    • RSD (Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria)

    • Trauma-Informed Responses

  • Curriculum knowledge across:

    • Mastery scales

    • P scales

    • EYFS framework

    • National Curriculum

  • Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with children and families

  • Confident in developing bespoke educational plans that are flexible, creative, and emotionally attuned

This is an exciting opportunity to take on a wide ranging legal advisory post where you will use your legal expertise to make a real impact - maintaining public confidence in dental services and protecting the safety of patients.

As a Principal Advisory Lawyer, you will play a leading role at the General Dental Council, providing strategic and risk-based legal advice across a wide range of complex and high profile regulatory, wider public and commercial law matters.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a team of lawyers ensuring the provision of accurate, timely, cost-effective and risk-based advice.
  • li>Working proactively with senior stakeholders across the organisation to identify legal risk and design and implement mitigations.
  • Contributing to decision-making and overseeing strategic and high-risk litigation.
  • Critiquing draft legislation and working with external advisors on specialist matters. 
  • li>Contributing to the delivery of the GDC’s corporate strategy and costed corporate plan. < i>Identifying legal issues and working proactively with colleagues to highlight and mitigate these where possible. 

Person Specification:

    li>To be considered for this role you will need to be a qualified and practising solicitor, or barrister, or ILEX qualified, with significant post qualification experience in one or more of the following areas of law: public law; information law; commercial law; criminal law; regulatory/ professional discipline; and employment law.
  • You will also need excellent legal analytical skills, with the ability to analyse complex legal issues and present legally sound, risk-based and pragmatic advice and instructions.
