Base pay rangeExcellent opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer with at least two years post qualification experience of real estate law to join this global business.
You will join an in-house legal team who play a key role in delivering commercial and legal advice. Our client wish to appoint a talented lawyer who can readily integrate into this energetic and creative working environment. Reporting to the General Counsel and working closely with management across all areas of the business, you will advise on a variety of UK and global legal and commercial affairs with primarily a real estate and franchising focus.
This is a broad role covering the UK and other jurisdictions globally. Your responsibilities will include:
* Managing leasehold transactions and freehold sales and acquisitions
* Structuring and negotiating corporate real estate, M&A and other commercial transactions including acquisitions, joint ventures and franchising
* Negotiating commercial contracts including major IT and supplier contracts
* Negotiating major client agreements
* Providing strategic advice in relation to commercial or property litigation and leading any proceedings that take place (with the assistance of external counsel) to senior stakeholders
* Managing external counsel and ensuring that UK legal spend is kept within budget
Required skills and experience:
* 2-3 years qualification and experience gained in a leading law firm and/or an international company
* The ideal candidate will either be a real estate lawyer or a corporate/commercial lawyer, preferably with real estate sector experience. Previous in-house experience is beneficial but not essential
* Hands-on, able to work both autonomously and as part of multidisciplinary teams
* Commercially astute, capable of managing risk and with the ability to resolve complex matters
* Proven ability to quickly gain the trust of stakeholders through advising in a calm and diplomatic fashion

The Family Law Paralegal's role
