Are you an experienced Production Manager or Operations Manager who has previous experience within the Steel Fabrication industry?
We are looking for a Production Manager to join a long-standing manufacturer in Sandbach, Cheshire, this role will be working rotating shift patterns (currently 6am – 4pm and 12pm to 10pm with a 6 hour Friday) Monday to Friday, 43.5 hours per week. The role comes with a salary between £45,000 - £55,000 per annum DOE.
The hiring manager is looking for someone who has managed a team of more than 50 staff at one time, they would also like someone who has some experience of working with a CAPEX plan.
What You Will Do:
- Lead and manage production teams, including over 100 operators and team leaders, to deliver operational excellence.
- Develop and implement a robust production plan to achieve On Time in Full (OTIF) deliveries of over 98%.
- Drive Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People (SQCDP) performance metrics, ensuring a culture of zero waste.
- Oversee the introduction of new products and technologies, ensuring safe and efficient processes.
- Utilise tools such as 8D Problem Solving, 5S, OEE, SMED, and TPM to optimise performance and processes.
- Inspire and train team leaders to independently manage day-to-day production activities, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
