Traded Risk Model Validation is a group that performs in depth technical model validations of models covering pricing, algo trading models, market and counterparty credit risk of derivatives spanning all asset classes. This opportunity is for a validator to perform model validations, build benchmark models and conduct testing and develop standardised model testing frameworks.

The role sits within the FX and Equity Valuation Validation team focused on FX Pricing Models. The role is expected to conduct validations across models with a focus on FX Models. The role requires collaborative working both across the local team in the UK and other validators in Poland, Singapore HK and the US.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform validation of FX models and products by verifying conceptual soundness, methodology and implementation and by identifying and assessing limitations and uncertainties.
  • Assess and quantify model risk by performing independent testing and developing alternative benchmark models.
  • Liaise with model developers, Trading, Risk managers and Valuation control teams and provide guidance on model risk.
  • Communicate validation outcome and findings to key stakeholders and management.
Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree (Masters, PhD or equivalent) in a quantitative or engineering field e.g. mathematics, physics, quantitative finance, computer science.
  • Candidates who have recently completed PhDs or Masters will be considered.
  • Experience in either a model validation or model development role covering pricing is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of FX products and FX trading markets is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and ability to apply mathematical techniques in modelling problems ideally including stochastic calculus.
  • Strong analytical and programming skills.
  • Strong communication skills to facilitate the ability to work effectively as part of a Global Team and liaise with key stakeholders.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Strong writing skills with ability to present conclusions and recommendations from technical projects to a less technical audience.

Role Overview

The Regulatory Compliance Officer will be responsible for identifying, interpreting and advising on regulatory requirements of TP ICAP’s EMEA businesses to ensure that TP ICAP pursues its strategic objectives in accordance with all applicable regulatory requirements. As a member of the EMEA Compliance Advisory team, you will report into the Senior Compliance Advisory Manager. As such, the role-holder will be a part of the EMEA Compliance function, based in TP ICAP’s London offices. The Regulatory Compliance Officer will work to create a compliance culture within the TP ICAP Group, with particular responsibility for the UK broking divisions.

Role Responsibilities

  • Horizon-scanning to detect and track emerging regulatory requirements.
  • Interpreting emerging regulatory requirements and advising stakeholders on their potential impact and associated control requirements.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders across TP ICAP, including the EMEA COO, the EMEA Head of Venues and Market Infrastructure, and Legal.
  • Interacting with trade associations, exchanges and regulators as required, including representing TP ICAP at industry or regulatory meetings.
  • Representing EMEA Compliance in internal governance meetings, such as the Regulatory Change Oversight Meeting, and in subsequent regulatory implementation projects.
  • Creating and delivering training materials on regulatory requirements.
  • Reviewing and drafting policies and procedures to comply with relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Performing ad-hoc reviews and investigations in to TP ICAP’s adherence to its regulatory requirements.
  • Supporting applications for new/amended regulatory permissions as required.
  • Review output from the Compliance Monitoring Programme and implement remedial actions.
  • Project work as required from time to time.
  • Fulfil additional / ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business and the EMEA Compliance function.

Essential

Experience / Competences

  • Good working knowledge of the applicable requirements of the UK and EU financial services regime, including the FCA Handbook and key regulations e.g. MiFID II and SMCR etc.
  • Previous experience analysing wholesale market regulations and assessing their impact.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Able to build relationships and communicate effectively and efficiently to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Able to work well with diverse groups and personalities.
  • A bachelor’s degree or a period of work experience demonstrating equivalent ability.

Purpose of the role
The purpose of this role is to coordinate and continuously improve the Camira Groups integrated Business Management System (BMS), ensuring it supports operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and strategic objectives across the organisation. This includes maintaining alignment with international standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001), while also supporting broader governance and compliance frameworks. This role is a 12 month FTC.

The day to day

  • To adhere to the Camira Code of Conduct and comply with all relevant quality, environmental, health & safety, data protection, and corporate legislative requirements
  • Coordinate the Camira Group Business Management System (BMS) to maintain conformance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and other applicable standards.
  • Lead, plan, and manage the internal audit schedule across the Group, ensuring effective audits and timely resolution of findings.
  • Record, report, and manage non-conformities and corrective actions within the BMS.
  • Facilitate external audits, acting as primary contact for certification bodies and supporting customer audits.
  • Coordinate BMS Management Reviews, preparing reports and presenting recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Maintain environmental aspect and impact assessments and monitor compliance performance.
  • Support compliance across key areas including Security (Cyber, Information, and Physical), Human Rights, Whistleblowing, and Product Compliance.
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives such as Sustainability, Security, and Employee Voice.
  • Promote continual improvement by identifying opportunities, leading projects, and embedding best practices.

Other considerations

  • Full, clean driving licence (occasional travel required).
  • Willingness to undergo a criminal record check in line with company policy
  • Proven experience in a similar compliance or management systems role.
  • Qualified Management Systems Auditor (IRCA, IEMA, or BSI).
  • 23+ days annual leave
  • 4% Company pension contribution
  • This role is a 12 month FTC.
