Job Description
Right then – you know what most engineering roles look like. Fix the machine, hope it doesn’t break again, rinse and repeat.
This one’s different.
It’s a brand-new role . Nothing to “backfill,” no shoes to fill – just an opportunity to actually shape how things are done. This company is investing heavily in automation and projects, and they need someone who can lead that charge.
We’re talking full-line installs, automation upgrades, and modifying Siemens software like it’s second nature. If you’ve ever looked at a process and thought, “There’s a smarter way to do this” – they want to hear it. And if you can back it up with delivery? Even better.
You’ll be the go-to person for all things automation and projects. That means being hands-on with software, driving obsolescence plans, working with OEMs, and helping embed a smart factory mindset.
What you’ll need:
- A strong background in electrical/automation engineering (Siemens S7, STEP 7, Simatic)
- Proven experience delivering automation-heavy projects, from tweaks to full-line installs
- A decent set of qualifications – ONC/HNC, apprenticeship, or 5+ years in the game
- The ability to think, plan, and get things done without being micromanaged
You’ll be reporting into someone who actually wants change and will give you the space to make it happen.
Interested? Apply now – or just drop me a message if your CV’s not quite up to date.
