As an engine fitter is a skilled professional they are responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of various mechanical systems and equipment on board a vessel. Their duties include regular inspections and maintenance tasks on engine components, including pumps, valves, pistons, crankshafts and bearings. - Exposure to ECU controller software packages.
