We have a fantastic opportunity to work with a business who specialise in the engineering and manufacturing of equipment essential to the Medical industry. The business were recently acquired and have exciting plans to at least double in size over the next 5 years. They have changed their model to incorporate a more automated aspect to their products, which has increased their order book significantly.
The role would suit a Project Engineer who has experience working with Solidworks, so candidates should have a background in design, whilst possessing excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design bespoke 3D models of Machinery in the medical industry.
- Obtain design approval from clients based on GA Drawings.
- Create accurate technical drawings using SolidWorks within agreed time frames.
- Compile Issue Sheets/BOM's.
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients throughout project delivery and beyond.
In return you'll receive a salary of circa 50k+ package, including overtime paid at time and a half, and company pension.

The role:
In summary, reporting to the project manager, you will be working on producing concept and manufacturing drawings for Packaged Utility Rooms. You will closely work with the surrounding pre-construction, pre-production, and production teams to deliver a high-quality product.
· Produce manufacturing and concept designs for Packaged Utility rooms, usually incorporating the standard design concept and a high-level list of components that need incorporating within the PUR.
· Create and check general arrangement and detailed part drawings.
· Generate and maintain the bill of materials on the internal systems.
· Troubleshoot and resolve design issues.

Requirements
What are we looking for in you?
· Good knowledge of Solidworks CAD software.
· A minimum of 1-2 years’ previous experience in Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA).
· Good knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM).
· Some Mechanical and Electrical knowledge advantageous.
· 2:1 Engineering Degree advantageous.
