What You'll Do
You’ll be responsible for carrying out day-to-day repairs, minor improvements, and planned maintenance across all Treehouse sites. Your duties will include:
- Fixing and replacing doors, locks, intercoms, and fittings li>Minor plumbing and electrical repairs (e.g., leaks, lighting, boiler checks)
- General DIY including painting, assembling furniture, and maintaining resources
- Garden and outdoor maintenance including fences, play structures, and seasonal tasks
- Supporting site safety and carrying out hazard checks, fire warden recommendations, and reporting

What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- < i>Proven experience in maintenance, caretaking, or similar roles
- Good all-round handyperson skills (e.g., carpentry, plumbing, electrics)
- Clean driving licence (D1 category desirable)
- Understanding of Health & Safety, COSHH, and safeguarding expectations
- Ability to work independently and prioritise urgent tasks
- Strong communication and basic IT skills for logging tasks
Desirable:
- Experience working in schools or nursery settings
- Awareness of EYFS environments

Job Description
Job Purpose:
The Facilities and Maintenance Technician will report to the HSEF Manager and will be responsible for overseeing building and equipment maintenance within a production/manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine and reactive maintenance across the site, including plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and fabric repairs.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
- Liaise with contractors and service providers to coordinate specialist repairs and compliance inspections.
- Ensure that facilities are safe, compliant, and maintained to a high standard.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service reports, and inventory of tools and supplies.
- Monitor building systems (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, lighting) and report faults or inefficiencies.
- Support health and safety compliance, including risk assessments, fire alarm testing, and emergency procedures.
- Provide support during out-of-hours emergencies or planned maintenance as needed
- Be the Appointed Person for Legionella Control.

Knowledge
- Good working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems.
- Strong understanding of UK health and safety standards and practices.
Education
- Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Electrical, Plumbing, or Building Services.
- Experience in facilities management systems.
- FLT licence.
Skills and competencies required
- Proven experience in a similar maintenance or facilities role.
- Ability to diagnose faults and carry out basic repairs effectively
- Full UK driving
- Good communication and teamwork skills. licence.

Professional experience
- Experience in facilities management systems.
- Experience of RAMS and managing contractors onsite.
