Client Summary:
Our client is a global leader in Rolling Stock vehicle manufacturing, service and maintenance.
Position Summary:
This position will be mainly based on an FLT truck, but you will be required to do a considerable amount on manual handling.
The position is a contract position, based a busy engineering department based in Crewe. Applicants would ideally have the ability to complete all of the following:
* Good knowledge of material supply
* Experience of picking
* Knowledge of SAP or similar stock control systems (preferred)
* Good organisational and communication skills
* Stock control and rotation (this is essential)
* FLT experience with a Counterbalance and Reach license, Flexi-Truck (preferred but not essential)
* Ability to work to tight deadlines
Person Profile/Experience:
* Similar experience with a heavy industry / engineering stores
* Refreshed their Counterbalance license within the last three years
* Able to work well within a small team
* Be able to work alone for periods and be responsible for their work.

In partnership with Siemens Mobility we are recruiting for a Materials Handler to be part of the materials chain for a project to overhaul the interior of a Fleet of Class 360 Rolling Stock units. Siemens Mobility are a globally recognised brand in the production, maintenance and modification of Rolling Stock. This role is based at the modern Kings Heath Depot.
Position Summary
The key duties are to ensure the delivery of material to the MFC facility. You will carry out general stores duties as directed by the Stores Team governed by the priorities and timescales of work requirements and daily workloads. Key responsibilities will include:
* Using the correct manual handling techniques,
* Pick, pack and issue material kits to line side.
* Top up line side material locations.
* Ensure line side is kept neat and tidy in line with 5S principles
Personal Profile / experience required:
* Previous experience in a fast-paced Warehouse environment
* Must be self-motivated
* Basic PC skills, ie: Microsoft work/excel

Job Purpose:
You will play a crucial role in the receipt, storage and movement of materials within our manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for handling and transporting materials to support the production process, ensuring timely and accurate material flow to meet production targets.
Outline and Responsibilities:
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, V.N.A, Reach, Tow Tractor, Pallet Truck to move materials within the warehouse and production areas. li>Receive, inspect and verify incoming materials for accuracy and quality.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, ensuring proper handling and placement.
- Transport materials to designated areas, ensuring proper inventory control and stock rotation.
- Assist with maintaining accurate inventory levels and assist in stocktaking and cycle counts.
- Support production teams by ensuring timely delivery of materials to production lines.
