My client are an established construction contractor who are currently recruiting for an Operations Manager to head up their Construction & Fire Safety divisions across London & South East.
The Role;
Within this role,you will work along side a commercial manager ensuring P&L, budgets and deadlines are met. You would be responsible for ensuring the level of service and quality is to the highest standard as well as cost control, creating CPP & programming of works and budgeting. Your direct team will include contract managers, supervisors & office staff. You will report directly in to the divisional director who will support you in making the contracts are a success.
The Candidate;
The ideal candidate will have extensive building knowledge and experience managing planned maintenance and construction projects . Experience managing multiple site teams, strategically planning projects and an ability to problem solve in complex situations. A good knowledge of up to date legislations and strong organisational skills is also desired.
Having an ability to create a strong working environment, where everyone is working as a team to achieve targets and goals on the contract, as well as being able to build strong relationships with the client and your team members.

About the role:
We are looking for an Operations Manager to manage day to day site operations of the West London Composting Facility including the transfer station and commercial units.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Uphold Health and Safety and Environmental compliance across the site and third-party suppliers
- Arranging site operations to ensure that optimum throughput is achieved at the desired level
- Ensuring that KPIs are reported, delivered and targets met
- Ensuring that there is sufficient labour resource to satisfy input and output requirements
- Ability to ensure that sufficient space is available to receive incoming waste according to predictions
- Ensure that plant and machinery is fit for purpose, serviced and compliant with all legislation
- Produce CAPEX plans to ensure that plant and machinery is replaced in a timely manner
- Review reports to determine profitability and areas of improvement
- Maintain a positive outlook and attitude about the organisation and its goals, this will directly translate to how the staff takes on challenges and processes changes
- Aid in marketing and public relations for the company
- Reporting of key financial indicators on a timely manner when requested

- Experience of managing a team and have sound understanding of the machinery which it operates
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to work with, provide advice to, train, and promote excellence operational efficiencies

They have a new job opening for an Operations Manager who will be responsible for the day to day management of the Company's operations at its site ensuring effective and safe delivery of all operational activities undertaken on these sites in a compliant manner and in accordance with agreed business and financial objectives. Efficient operation, maintenance and repair of all fixed and mobile plant and equipment at each site using internal and external resources.
Some of your responsibilities will be but not limited to;
- Managing day to day operations, including overseeing the operations team and business units; Lead supervisor meetings and handovers between shifts. This will include daily nightshift plan; Control of sub-contractors and their activities on the Sites including Permits; Liaise with the Plant Workshop to ensure PPM and readiness for machine works to be undertaken, especially on leading up to plant shutdowns; Developing and maintaining good relationships with vendors and suppliers; Ensure all appropriate safety equipment and PPE are always used in accordance with site rules; Liaise with the commercial team regarding outgoing load requirements; To effectively manage stock rotation for all relevant operations to comply with Site Permit and all Senior Management instructions including updating batch records; Organise for purchase orders to be raised and issued in advance of purchasing any items or services as dictated by Company Policy; Comply with all Health, Safety, HR, Quality and Environmental policies and procedures. Maintaining and enforcing health and safety guidelines.
